Geek It! Anime Spotlight: Voice Actor Yuki Kaji

He can be the best boy of your dreams. He can also save humanity from the threat of destruction. He can also be your sly, slippery villain. He is none other than … YUKI KAJI.

Yūki Kaji is one of Japan’s well-renowned voice actors in the business who has voiced many iconic roles over the past decade. Such roles include Eren Yeager in Attack on Titan, Lyon Vastia in Fairy Tail, Shu Ouma in Guilty Crown, Alibaba in Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic, Meliodas and Zeldris in The Seven Deadly Sins, Yukine in Noragami, Todoroki Shōto in My Hero Academia, Kozume Kenma in Haikyu!!, and Koichi Hirose in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure.

But that’s not all! He has voiced plenty of other fan-favourite characters including Kou Mabuchi in Blue Spring Ride, Speed-O’Sound Sonic in One-Punch Man, Takeshi Aiza in Your Lie in April, Phoenix Wright in Ace Attorney, Mei Narumiya in Ace of Diamond. 

With so many diverse roles under his belt, this goes to show what amazing talent and acting range that Yuki Kaji possesses. Not only did he win Best Rookie Actor Award in 2009 but he won Best Voice Actor Award in 2013 and 2014 as well.

Besides voice acting success, Yuki Kaji used to be part of a four-unit singing group ‘G Addict’. He also hosted his own variety TV show ‘Kaji 100!: The 100 Things Yuki Kaji Wants to Do’ and was also one of the protagonists in ‘Kami Voice: The Voice Makes a Miracle’.

We can sit here all day fangirling about Yuki Kaji —  he is a force of nature that cannot be stopped. And luckily for Australian fans, we absolutely cannot wait to see him at the upcoming Madman Anime Festival next month! We hope you like our Yuki Kaji spam below! 🙂
