Geek It! Cosplay Spotlight: Hakken

HAKKEN has been on the cosplay scene for a few years now. And while the Malaysian cosplayer doesn’t have a portfolio of abundant photoshoots like other mainstream cosplayers, Hakken is definitely a dark horse who has been silently gaining popularity across the world.

As you’re stumbling through the Internet, you may have encountered Hakken’s casual photoshoots as a Japanese schoolboy or Japanese-Korean style model. Whether it’s sultry or innocent, Hakken can definitely nail the look, attitude and aesthetics.

But in our eyes, Hakken is one of our favourite anime cosplayers to date. Just one look at Hakken’s work, it is obvious that Hakken has a strong preference for males with bold and silent personalities. From Code Geass‘s Lelouch Lamperouge to Inuyasha‘s Sesshomaru, Hakken cosplays these characters with perfection and refined sophistication.

Just like any other cosplayer, Hakken likes to cosplay characters from his/her favourite animated series. Some fan-favourite cosplays that has garnered worldwide recognition include Howl (Howl’s Moving Castle), Tobio Kageyama (Haikyuu), Itachi Uchiha (Naruto), Kaname Kuran (Vampire Knight), and Bruno and Giorno (Jojo Bizarre Adventures).
