Geek It! Out&About: CupNoodles Museum Yokohama
As a cup noodle enthusiast growing up, the Cup Noodles Museum is one of our must-visit attractions on our Japan Bucket List. Cup noodles + museum ….? Why not?
After enjoying Yokohama’s Air Cabin experience, the museum is a short distance walk located near Cosmo World theme park.

Upon entering the museum, you will encounter several levels of different conceptual exhibitions and attractions.

The first room you see is the infamous History Cube room filled with cup noodles from 1958 to present times. From different packagings to limited flavour editions, all manufactured designs have been preserved in this time capsule for visitors to marvel.
And it’s absolutely amazing to see how cup noodles have progressed over the years.

We even get to see a replica of Founder Momofuku’s Work Shed — the place where noodles got birthed.

And then the great fun begins! It wouldn’t be a Cup Noodles Museum without visiting the Cup Noodles Factory!
This is the only place where you can create your very own Cup Noodles — literally. From designing the outer surface of the cup to customising the toppings, it’s a hands-on activity that people of all ages will enjoy.
But make sure you book your session in advance — they sell out very fast!

And of course, don’t forget to drop by the souvenir shop — you can’t get Cup Noodles Museum items anywhere else! For us, we got some limited edition Tonkatsu-flavoured cup noodles and stationery!

All in all, the Cup Noodles Museum was a rather interesting experience. Personally, we wanted more from the experience but for what it was, it did what it did. And besides, this is an experience that you can only get in Japan.
