Geek It! Cosplay Spotlight: Baozi and Hana

Best known as China’s ultimate cosplay duo, BAOZI and HANA are renowned for their portrayal of characters from various Japanese manga and anime series.

Since their formation in 2011, both Baozi and Hana are widely recognised for their talent in costuming and makeup skills.

With more than 250,000 followers on Facebook and 150,000 followers on Instagram, the cosplay duo has an international fanbase that spans from Singapore to Philippines, and Indonesia to Brazil.

Some of our favourite Baozi and Hana cosplays include Yuuri Katsuki and Victor Nikiforov (Yuri!! on Ice), Sasuke Uchiha and Itachi Uchiha (Naruto), Rin Okumura and Yukiko Okumura (Ao No Exorcist), Touya Kinomoto and Yukito Tsukishiro (Cardcaptor Sakura).

Baozi and Hana aren’t your average cosplayers. Besides having incredible chemistry amongst themselves, they strive for perfection by replicating the characters’ composure and expressive emotions. With such dynamic energy and versatility under their belt, it is no wonder fans adore them.

And luckily for Australian fans, Baozi and Hana will be coming back to SMASH! Sydney Manga and Anime Show this July! We can only wonder who they will be cosplaying throughout the weekend… Guess we’ll find out!
