Geek It! Anime Newsbyte: First official look at Attack on Titan Season 2

IT IS FINALLY HERE! Believe it or not, it has been three long years since the conclusion of the global phenomenon, ATTACK ON TITAN. Making our Christmas just a little more special, Funimation decided to drop the best Christmas gift ever. What could it possibly be? Cue fangirl screams — it is none other than the first official trailer for Attack on Titan’s 2nd season. This is not a drill, we repeat, not a drill! 

As expected of Attack on Titan, the trailer features dramatic music, hardcore yelling, and of course, titans threatening human civilization. Our favourite trio Eren, Mikasa and Armin are back again, and so are some of the recognisable Titans that we’ve seen in the first season.

However, what really caught our eye in this trailer was the appearance of some new Titans — also known as ‘Beast Titans’ — who appear just as monstrous as the Colossal Titans but beast-like. After all this time, Titans have been protecting humans ….from other Titans?! 

Although there is still no specific airing date, it has been confirmed that the new season will premiere in April 2017. Are you looking forward to the new season? Let us know what you think of the trailer!
