Geek It! Anime Newsbyte: First look at Makoto Shinkai’s ‘Your Name’ film

From the internationally acclaimed director of 5 Centimeters Per Second and The Garden of Words, Makoto Shinkai returns with another stunning film that is set to take away your breath in an instant.

Titled ‘Your name’ or ‘Kimi no na ha’, the story focuses on a pair of high school students: Mitsuha Miyamizu, a girl living in a rural mountain community, and Taki Tachibana, a boy in Tokyo. Although they have never met, the two begin seeing each other in their dreams which sets in motion “a tale of love and miracles.”

With such wondrous concept in store for fans, we have a feeling that this story will be another magical journey for viewers. And of course, it wouldn’t be a Shinkai film without the usual spectacular visuals and a palette of heart-warming colours.
