Geek It! Animation Newsbyte: Just keep swimming … First look at Disney-Pixar’s FINDING DORY!

After years of negotiations and whispers amongst fans, the trailer to the long-awaited FINDING DORY (2016) is finally here! Directed by Andrew Stanton (A Bug’s Life, Wall-E) and Angus MacLane (BURN-E, Toy Story of Terror), the highly anticipated sequel to the Pixar hit ‘Finding Nemo’ (2013) is just around the corner and is scheduled to be released on June 17, 2016.

Being the charming amnesiac character she is, it is no wonder that our beloved Dory has her own story. Six months after the first film, Dory suddenly recalls a few of her childhood memories. Accompanied by Nemo (Hayden Rolence) and Marlin (Albert Brooks), Dory sets out on an epic adventure to find her family in the deep blue sea. Along the way, Dory meets Bailey, a white beluga whale; Destiny (Kaitlin Olson), a whale shark; and Hank (Ed O’Neill) the octopus.

With Ellen DeGeneres and Albert Brooks reprising their roles as Dory and Marlin respectively, it is a shame that the original voice of Nemo, Alexander Gould, is not returning, now that he is an adult with a deeper voice. Nevertheless, we absolutely cannot wait for this film and the adventure that awaits for eager Pixar films.

FINDING DORY is scheduled for release in theaters in Australia on June 16, 2016, followed by US on June 17 and UK on July 29. What do you guys think of the trailer? Let us know in the comments below!
