Frozen Cosplay Act Shines on Stage

No, we’re still not letting go of Disney’s Frozen just yet! Some fans love singing the Frozen songs, others like to dress up as Elsa and Anna, and others actually do both! This is one of CtrlGeekGirl’s favourite cosplay acts performed by French cosplayers, and boy, what a theatrical treat! Not only were the actors good at miming and performing their respective characters, but the timing of Elsa’s transformation was totally on cue and simply spectacular!

The Simpsons’ Halloween Animation Tribute

In The Simpsons’ latest Halloween Special, they paid a tribute to some of the most popular animated shows in recent years. From the minions in Despicable Me to Adventure Time to anime series such as Attack on Titan and Naruto, it was quite a bizarre experience watching the revelation of our favourite shows. What do you think about it?

Goku vs Superman Gets Animated! 

We love geeky art so when we first saw this video, we were totally overwhelmed by its awesomeness. Goku vs Superman …who will win?? At hindsight, DragonBall Z’s Goku can use Spirit Bomb and Kamehameha, and Superman can pretty much do anything. Personally, we’d vote for Goku. Watch the video to find out who wins!

 ‘A Whole New World’ 23 years later

Aladdin is one of our favourite Disney movies because it has a fantastic soundtrack filled with catchy tunes. Besides daydreaming about magical carpet rides and finding the Prince of our dreams, we are still totes in love with ‘A Whole New World‘ — also known as Aladdin and Princess Jasmine’s song. Lea Salonga(aka Princess Jasmine) recently sung the song with band Il Divo at a live concert — 23 years since the cinematic release of Aladdin, and she still sounds like Princess Jasmine!

Moon..Prism.Animate..Makeup! 

For those who may not know, CtrlGeekGirl is currently watching the original Sailor Moon dub anime (yes, good old ’90s) AND Sailor Moon Crystal (which is being released once every fortnight). We happened to stumble across this brilliant creative project named ‘Moon Animate Make Up’ — a crowd-sourced animation project that re-animates an episode of Sailor Moon using shot-by-shot illustrated by different artists. From October 2013 to July 2014, over two hundred and fifty animators contributed at least one shot each to assemble this video. Just look at the effort that has been put into this project — absolutely amazing!

Love 1000% in English

We are HUGE fans of Uta no Prince LOVE 1000%, and to be honest, we’re still waiting for the release of the dubbed version one day. Like many fans, we often wonder what the English dubversion would sound like, and luckily for us, a group of fans (Brandon M, Zoozbuh, RedyyChuu, Shadowlink4321, Tyler Danielz, Klcrimsonrhapsody) has decided to collaborate and mix this fantastic English cover of Mirai no Chizu. The result? WE LOVE IT! Our hearts are melted…what about yours?
